JOB VACANCY
Library of Tibetan Works & Archives and Emory University together will be starting a month long science workshop to launch its first year curriculum of a five year comprehensive science curriculum for monastic this summer. We are recruiting two people for this program.
Responsibility :
Their primary responsibility of the selected candidate will be translation of scientific materials into Tibetan. And during the workshop they will need to do oral translation for the western science teachers and also they have to assist in overall organization and execution of the workshops.
Remuneration:
The selected candidate will be posted under probation period for minimum of six months. Depending on their performance in this period he/she will be enrolled into the permanent post according to LTWA's rules and regulation.
Qualification:
The applicant should fulfill the following requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Science or Mathematics.
2. Should have studied Tibetan up to Twelfth grade.
3. Experience in teaching and translation will be given special consideration.
4. He/she should be interested in science teaching and translation.
5. Should include your Curriculum-vitae along with your application.

HELP US ACQUIRE BOOKS We seek your help in our humble attempt to build a comprehensive collection of literature on Tibetan and Himalayan studies. Many books published in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are no longer in print. And many recent books published overseas are not easily available in India .
Any assistance in acquiring these books - be it in the form of financial donation, donations-in-kind, or participation in a publication exchange - will be greatly appreciated and duly acknowledged both on the item and in the Library's annual report and records.
